Building a Stronger Mindset: My Personal Growth Journey

What do I hope to achieve from this journey? I first took a hard look at myself and asked: What am I lacking? What do I want to change?

After deep reflection, I realized that there are aspects of myself that I am not proud of, habits that hold me back and patterns I want to break.

 

 

A Shift in Focus: Mental Strength Over Everything

I want to improve my health, both physically and mentally, but my main focus will be mental resilience. While physical health is important, I’ve come to understand that a strong mindset is the foundation of a healthier lifestyle. Right now, I struggle with self-control and temptation, whether it’s unhealthy eating, excessive social media use, or procrastination. These may seem like small habits, but they significantly impact my willpower and self-discipline.

 

 

The Psychology Behind Change

In an article that I read, regarding Interest-Driven Creator and the habit loop, it suggests that habits form through cue, routine, and reward. A lesson that I can learn from this is how you can develop lifelong learning habits by repeatedly engaging in interest-driven creation activities. Habits form when behaviours become automatic through repeated practice in a consistent environment.

I believe that mental strength isn’t built overnight. Instead of attempting drastic changes that don’t last, I want to embrace small, daily improvements—a mindset inspired by the 1% better every day concept from Kaizen philosophy. The goal is not perfection but progress.

 

Through this blog, I will document my personal journey, reflecting on my successes, setbacks, and the psychological insights that shape my growth. My hope is that by strengthening my mindset, I will open the door to a healthier, more fulfilling life.
